May the God of hope fill you with
all
joy and peace as you trust in him, so
that you may overflow with hope by
the power of the Holy Spirit.

Do you
have miracles on your gift list this Christmas?
The miracle of
Christmas enables hope.
Imagine that you were in the
University of Wisconsin’s Camp Randall locker room twenty minutes
prior to the start of this year’s D-3 State Championship football
game. Coach DeNoyer is leading the WLHS football team in prayer.
Can you feel the team’s anticipation – their hope for a victory on
the field?
You know, no matter how much
they hoped to win the State Championship, the football players would
all acknowledge that they have a far greater hope. That is the hope
of an eternity in heaven with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
It is
this hope that makes Wisconsin Lutheran High School such a special
place. Special, because the Word of God is taught every day
in every classroom. Special, because of God-fearing and caring
teachers. Special, because every day many of our students often
show their love for Jesus in class, in co-curricular activities, and
on the playing field.
Your
gift to the WLHS Tuition Assistance Fund can reinforce this hope in
the life of one of our students. Your gift will enable a
Christ-centered education for a teenager who needs to hear the
message of hope as he or she studies and plans for the future. Your
gift of $100, $250, $500, $1,000, or more enables hope – hope that
is firmly grounded in Jesus!
What better
gift can you possibly give this Christmas season?
For those of you who haven’t
visited WLHS in a while, let me walk you through a typical morning .
. .
1st
Period –
Students in Mrs. Schram’s Cantorei choir practice vocal techniques
and learn music literacy skills. You enjoy this because it will
give you a life skill for participating in your church’s choir.
Homeroom
– Miss Reinke makes it a special day by surprising you and
the other students with homemade cookies. Your curiosity is piqued
by the morning announcement that encourages students to help make
sandwiches for the homeless after school that day.
Chapel
– Pastor Becker presents a chapel on God’s gift of angels.
He emphasizes that God loves you so much that He gave you angels to
serve you and keep you from harm.
2nd Period
– Today, Mr. Bowe’s Living Christianity class discusses how
to prepare yourself to give an answer about your faith in Jesus and
the truths of God’s Word with gentleness and respect. You leave
class feeling more confident.
3rd Period
– Toward the very end of this class period, Mr. Thierfelder
reminds your Advanced Algebra class that you can still join the
Robotics Club and help engineer a computerized robot for an upcoming
competition.
4th
Period –
You’re excited that you have finally mastered the CNC router in Mr.
Haakenson’s Exploratory Woods class. You know that your father will
appreciate the bookends you made when he opens your Christmas gift
to him in a few weeks.
You can see from these
examples that the mission of WLHS is to prepare young people from
every walk of life to choose the right path – God’s path – a path
that is always filled with hope!
With your investment of a gift
to the WLHS Tuition Assistance Fund, I can continue to provide a
high quality, Christ-centered education that will give such hope to
young people and their families. God has
miracles planned for the lives of our
students. Thank you for investing in their future.
Please accept my wishes for a
truly Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!
In His Service,

Pastor Jim Kleist,
Superintendent (’68)
Wisconsin Lutheran High School
P. S.
