The English department strives to offer courses that are grounded in high performance standards and expectations for all students, thereby also encouraging the individual's gifts and talents.
As a freshman, each student is placed into one of the three entry level classes which lead into the department's sequence of courses. The core curriculum focuses on instruction in literature, composition, and public speaking skills. As varied interests and goals upon graduation are set, students are able to choose college-bound courses and classes preparatory to entering the workplace.
Through this curriculum we encourage and assist our students to do their God-given best in developing their individual talents, and assisting them in becoming lifelong learners.
