In short, our school strives to provide the highest standard of education in a Christian-based environment. We offer a comprehensive curriculum to help each student achieve his or her God-given potential to prepare for the future. From challenging college preparatory classes for those interested in continuing on to higher level education to classes focused on high skill training for those students wishing to continue on at technical colleges, WLHS offers a program that is able to provide each individual student with his or her specific needs and interests.
Educational growth is not limited to academics. WLHS encourages students to be servant-leaders in their homes and churches as well as their vocations. Teachers model this spirit of service to their students. They encourage students to place their spiritual growth even before their academic growth. They want students to enjoy the blessings of a loving relationship with God. They truly care about their students! Consider the following:
WLHS is a distinctively WELS Lutheran high school (more than 80 percent of the students are WELS Lutheran), but does seek and welcome all young men and women who desire a comprehensive, Christ-centered secondary education.
$420,000 in tuition assistance and scholarships is bestowed annually to make our school affordable to everyone. 50 percent of the student body receives some form of tuition assistance.
Since 1903, we’ve helped students to develop Biblical values and personal skills necessary for a lifetime of service to Jesus in students’ homes, churches, careers, and communities.
Over 90 percent of WLHS graduates enroll in a post-secondary institution, many receiving scholarships and academic recognition. We offer accelerated courses in English, science, psychology, and mathematics to give students an advantage after they’ve graduated.
WLHS has a proud athletic reputation and history, and many titles and trophies to show for it.
Over 60 percent of WLHS students are involved in co-curricular activities, a great opportunity to meet new friends and to provide valuable experience for future life roles.
WLHS is a family of students, teachers, and staff working and learning together in a safe, caring, and Christian environment.
