Learn
to play chess for fun,
practice, or enhance the knowledge you already possess. Members
will develop the power
of strategy and sharpen their minds
while playing in tournaments against teams from other schools.
Skills: Any student
with an ability to play chess, or the desire to learn, is
eligible. A student must also have a level of patience.
Commitment:
The Chess Team meets each week on
Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in room #107 from September through March and competes in
tournaments.
Join:
Students who
express an interest may attend the meetings beginning in
September. Information is also available in the Central
Office.
