This is a performance based course in band music with
emphases on the development of our God-given talents and

and participate in our competitive marching band program
during the first quarter. Membership in marching
band requires a commitment to attend rehearsals and
band camp throughout the summer and weekend rehearsals and
competitive performances in the fall. During the
remainder of the school year, students continue their
development of concert music repertoire, providing
exposure to wind band literature of the highest quality
and at various levels according to ability. The band
performs during the school year at all home football
games, gives three major concert performances, and is
actively involved in providing small ensembles for area
churches, WLHS events, and WSMA Solo Ensemble Festival.
Students will be given small group lessons as the band
