Career Counseling
The
Guidance Department exists to assist students in the areas
of career choice, post-secondary schooling and financial aid,
standardized testing, course selection, and academic success.
Guidance counselors work with students individually and in
small groups to assist them in these areas.
University of Wisconsin Careers Program
WLHS is a member of the Wisconsin Careers program through the
University of Wisconsin. Students can investigate specific
careers, do career searches, investigate specific
post-secondary schools and do college searches based on their
criteria and needs. This program is available at school, or
can be accessed over the internet from home. Come to the
Guidance Office for information or assistance in using this
resource.
Personal Counseling
Personal counselors are available to our students to offer
Bible-based advice and counsel to
help them resolve their
difficulties and discover again the love and direction God
has for them.
Mr. Schumacher, Mrs. Festerling, and Miss Hannah Reinke are
personal counselors at WLHS trained to provide Bible-based
counseling appropriate for the high school setting.
