RUTH SITZ

Stewardship

When asked to name a goodwill ambassador for WLHS, one name immediately comes to mind - Ruth Sitz. Ruth’s involvement at WLHS started when her husband, Carleton, was called as an instructor of literature and coach in 1949. Since then her love and involvement in this ministry has only grown. Never one to be in the spotlight, Ruth’s support of WLHS is usually done quietly and behind the scenes. However, the impact she has had on the ministry of WLHS, as well as on the individual lives of teachers and students, are truly reasons for praising God. Her passion for the WLHS ministry is evident as early as the 1950’s when she would chaperone fan busses and continues into the 2000’s while serving as a member of the Centennial Committee. Ruth is a charter member of both the WLHS Ladies Guild and Wisco Stewards.

Inducted Saturday, April 26, 2003.

Ruth was born in New Ulm, Minnesota and moved to Milwaukee in 1950 when her husband began his second year at WLHS. Ruth resides in Wauwatosa and is an active member of St. John’s in Wauwatosa.
