Wisconsin Lutheran High School has had a long and storied tradition in athletics, and we have been blessed to have seen some great successes. As an alumni and as the athletic director at WLHS I've seen some great individual and team successes on our playing fields. But despite state championships in cross-country, football, track & field, cheerleading, baseball, softball, volleyball, girls basketball, and our most recent 2014 boys basketball state title, the aspect of our athletics program that I am most proud of continues to be the Christian way in which our student athletes and coaches conduct themselves on the playing field.
Although we all fall short of leading the perfect life of Christ, WLHS coaches and instructors strive to impress upon our students the importance of modeling themselves to reflect Jesus's honesty, compassion, and love for others. By exhibiting these virtues during the intensity of competition, we pray that our students will be prepared to demonstrate these values in their adult lives in service to their Lord as well.
