Who are the Wisco
Stewards?
The Wisco Stewards are
a special group of people who support the high school by
funding an annual project through their membership dues. Members of Wisco Stewards are convinced that Wisconsin Lutheran
High School plays a vital role in God's plan for our young
people. They also recognize that a high quality Christian
education requires generous gifts and effort to succeed.
Extra support for this ministry, and commitment to it, is
what Wisco Stewards is all about. Steward members make
one gift each year to the high school in the form of
membership dues. All the dues are joined
together and presented as a gift to the high school at
their annual fall event. This one large gift funds a
specific project. They have no meetings, the fall event is
their annual get-together.
Since this organization was founded
in 1981, it has given over $800,000 to fund projects that were not covered in the
WLHS budget. Please see the list of
past projects listed below. The Stewards have truly
impacted the ministry at Wisconsin Lutheran High School.
25th Anniversary
Celebration
The
Wisco Stewards celebrated their 25th Anniversary on Sunday,
September 17, 2006, at Boerner Botanical Gardens. It was a
wonderful evening spent revisiting the great contributions the
Stewards have made to the high school over the past quarter
century. The food was catered by Bartolotta's and the
entertainment was provided by the WLHS Clarinet Choir. Two
drama students (dressed in character to represent two previous
projects) also participated in the event. A check in
the amount of $31,425.26 was presented to the high school for
the first payment of the current two-year project to provide
air-conditioning in four computer labs and install new
ceilings and lighting in two of these room.
2005-2007 Project
All membership dues given in 05-06 and 06-07 will fund the
air-conditioning of four
computer labs and the installation of new ceilings and
parabolic lighting in two of these rooms. Join the Wisco
Stewards
today and your membership gift will go toward this project.
