Wisco Students Head to Colorado and Texas
The first mission trips of the summer left this week for Colorado Springs, Colo.,led by Pastor Heath Butler, and Pflugerville, Texas, led by Pastor David Bitter.
Students in Colorado are working with alum Pastor Brent Merten ('81) at Fount of Life Lutheran Church. The team is leading VBS as they tell stories, lead music and crafts, and play games with children while building relationships with the community. Students will also have wonderful opportunities to experience God's beautiful creation at Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, mountain hiking and white water rafting.

Wisco students in Texas are working with Pastor Daron Lindemann at Holy Word Lutheran Church. Students will canvass thousands of homes with invitations to connect online in a new "Soul Quiz" and then engage in actual online follow-up on social media. In this technology hub, it is a new and unique way to connect with people in modern times. Students will be able to swim in beautiful natural spring swimming holes, take a cave tour, and experience the amazing food and music culture of Austin.
