The WLHS family would like to welcome you to the Viking Explorer Summer Program.   • Art Camp

    Coed Grades 3-8
    Explore God’s creation through drawing, painting and mixed media. We will take a close look at the beauty of God’s creation and the role we have in preserving its beauty.

  • Basketball Camp—Boys

    Grades 2-8
    The format for our Viking Basketball Camps is designed for a more concentrated emphasis on both offensive and defensive skill development. Drills will match the age group and skill level of players.

    June 7-9
    Grades 2-3 10:00-11:30 a.m. $45
    Grades 4-5 12:00-1:30 p.m.
    Grades 6-8 1:30-3:30 p.m.
  • Basketball Camp—Girls

    Grades 5-8
    The goal of this camp is to improve the basketball skills of each camper. Emphasis is placed on individual offensive skills with special attention given to shooting, dribbling and passing skills.

    June 13-16

    Grades 7-8 12:30-3:00 p.m.
  • Cheerleading Camp

    Grades K-9
    Sessions will focus on cheerleading skill development in the areas of jumps, sidelines, cheers, gymnastics, stunts and dance. Grade level sessions will be held for girls entering grades K-3, 4-6 and 7-9.

  • Chess Camp

    Coed Grades 5-9
    In this camp, students will learn how to create plans and find tactics in the three phases of a chess game- the opening, middle game and endgame. Students will learn strategies, do drills, and play games. Friday, they will compete in a tournament.

  • Cross Country Camp

    Coed Grades 5-8
    The purpose of this club is to provide a structured running program for young runners who are motivated to properly prepare for the upcoming cross country season. With this joint Wisconsin Lutheran venture, the runners will have access to a variety of experienced coaches, running trails and accomplished runners. This camp is two days a week as follows:

    June 20-July 27
    Mondays at WLHS Track 4:15-7:00 p.m.
    Wednesdays at WLC’s Track 8:30-10:30 a.m.
  • Engineering Camp—Girls

    Grades 7-9
    Use your existing skills and interests to learn about engineering. Design and 3D print your own necklace beads and pendant. Disassemble everyday items and see what wonders can be found inside. Use your math background and a computer program to make a leaf or flower press. Crafting skills will be put to great use when you create a welded decoration. Camp size is limited to 16 participants.

  • Introduction to Robotics

    Coed (3 Offerings-Same Class) Grades 5-9
    Students in this program will learn how to build and program a robot to compete in a game similar to those used in a high school competition. Participants will learn how to mount motors and servos to run a vehicle.

  • Soccer Camp

    Coed Grades 3-8
    Campers will receive group instruction in soccer fundamentals. Individual instruction will take place within their smaller groups. Games will be played using a world cup format.

  • Strength & Conditioning Club—Boys

    Grades 6-9
    This 6 week program will help athletes to become stronger, faster, better jumpers and more explosive. All young people who are looking to maximize performance are encouraged to join.

  • Theater Camp

    Coed Grades 5-9
    Drama camp will introduce students to theater basics. We will work on stage directions, characterization and scenes. Theater games will be used to improve students’ abilities to communicate verbally and non-verbally. Drama games will increase students' concentration, problem solving skills and ability to work in groups.

  • Volleyball Camp—Girls

    Grades 4-8
    Volleyball players will be challenged to take their game to the next level. Individual skills that will make each girl a more dynamic contributor to their team will be developed. Come ready to learn!

  • WELS Summer Band Camp

    Grades 6-9
    Open to Instrumental Music students who have had 1 year of lessons on their band instrument. This is an overnight camp and includes all meals and accommodations. For further information go to

  • Wrestling Camp

    Boys Grades 1-9
    Beginning wrestlers are presented with the foundation skills required of Viking wrestlers. New skills and techniques are introduced each day. Time is also spent discussing proper conditioning, nutrition and sport-related exercise.
