Coach Unke's Christian Victory Service at Wisco - Sunday, May 6
Coach Ron Unke ('49) was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, April 26. Beloved by many students and known as "Coach" he led the Wisco baseball team for 36 years and football team for 22 years. After graduating from WLHS, Ron attended UW-Madison where he was baseball MVP in 1953. He signed with the St. Louis Cardinals that same year. When he returned to Milwaukee, Ron also assisted the Milwaukee Brewers.
Wisconsin Lutheran High School is honored to host Coach's victory service at the high school on Sunday, May 6. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. with service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 7, at 11:00 at Arlington Cemetery on South 27th Street, south of Howard Avenue.
