Track Athletes Break Records
Congratulations to seniors Hailey Orlowski and Adler Peterson who took home 1st place in their events at the Viking Invitation meet on Monday, April 23. Hailey cleared 12 feet in the pole vault, establishing a new stadium mark. Her effort marked the third time this season she cleared 12 feet or better. At the Woodland West Conference Relays on Tuesday, Hailey set a new individual school pole vault record of 12-4.
Adler set a meet record and established the No. 1 throw in discus with a mark of 161 feet 6 inches. He also won the shot put (51-2), an event he ranks fourth in the Division 1 with a throw of 54-7. Both Hailey and Adler received honors for Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Athlete of the Week—In the Field.
