AP Chemistry

Mr. Nelson's AP Chemistry class spent the morning at Wisconsin Lutheran College's Science Laboratory to work on the percentage of copper in brass inquiry lab. Students found the percent of copper in brass by using concentrated nitric acid and colorimeters to determine the absorbency of the solutions through spectrophotometry and the application of Beer's Law. Giving students a chance to use a college laboratory is another way that WLHS prepares our students for a four year university and gives them experiences to explore vocation options.
