The Giver
This weekend the WLHS Drama Club will present The Giver, Eric Coble's stage adaptation of Lois Lowry's Newberry Award-winning novel. Two different casts will perform this play. The Apple Cast, starring Claire Leverance, Carlos Walta, Eden Nass and Jacob Noeske, will perform Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 4:00 p.m. The Snow Cast, starring Abigail Westendorf, Aundre Reid, Alicia Mengel, and Jonas Doerr will perform Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
The Giver is set in what appears to be a utopian society and follows the development of 12 year old Jonas who receives a special assignment that drives the plot.
Seating is general admission. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for children age 3 through 8th grade. Come on Friday, November 2, as the Choir Associates Group hosts a spaghetti dinner for the Fine Arts Department between 4:30-7:00 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the cafeteria door: $10 for adults, $7 for children (children three and under eat free). Performances by Inspiration and Wisco Kids will take place between 4:45-7:00 p.m.
