WLHS to Host WELS National Band Fest

The WELS National Band Festival is held every other year (the regional festival is on the opposite year), and Wisconsin Lutheran High School is honored to host this year on March 15-17. Over 100 students from 20 WELS high schools will rehearse together on Friday and Saturday to prepare for the concert. WLHS is proud to have 10 students from the band selected to particiate this year. They are (from left to right) back row: Jacob Spudat (french horn), Cedric Cacciotti (clarinet), Jonas Doerr (trumpet), Alicia Mengel (trumpet), middle row: Aaron Jensen (tuba), Olivia Gerbing (tenor sax), Grace Rindfleisch (bass clarinet), Miriam Snyder (bassoon), front row: Alicia Webb (trombone), and Lauren Butler (clarinet).
The Festival Concert will be held in the WLHS auditorium on Sunday, March 17, at 2:00 p.m. Admission is free and doors open at 1:30 pm.

If you're interested in hosting students for the time they are in Milwaukee for the festival, please fill out this form. Mr. Petersen will be in contact with you as housing assignments are made. If you are unable to host, but would still like to help out, donations to help defray the cost of putting on a large festival like this are greatly appreciated.
