The Pirates tallied in each of the first two innings and led 2-0 before Elijah Henning and Gavin Vrana drove in runs to tie the game in the bottom of the third. Pewaukee scored again in the fourth, but the Vikings answered back in the bottom of the fifth with a sac fly from Vrana to knot the game at 3-3.

But things came unraveled in the sixth, as the Pirates pushed four runs across and took advantage of two Wisco errors. In all, six of the eight Pewaukee runs were unearned. The Vikings managed just four hits in all, but did draw eight walks. Caleb Bilitz reached base twice on free passes and scored a team-high two runs.
