Semifinalist in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program Announced
Congratulations to Jonas Doerr ('20) for being named a semifinalist in the 65th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Less than 1% of the 1.5 million juniors nation-wide who enter this competition are selected, so Jonas is in rare company.
In addition to earning a high score on the Merit Qualifying Test, Merit Scholar semifinalists are chosen based upon a detailed application that provides evidence of leadership, community activities, service, essay writing proficiency, and his or her school’s recommendation.

Jonas is now eligible for selection to the Finalist level and will be notified in February if he has advanced. To God be the glory for this distinguished accomplishment.
