Big Run Leads to Rout of Pirates

The Viking basketball team moved to 3-1 in conference play and 5-1 overall with a 94-60 win at Pewaukee on Friday night.

Wisco used a 22-0 run over a four-and-a-half-minute stretch in the second half to break open the game. The Vikings held the Pirates scoreless for 13 consecutive possessions and scored on 10 of their own possessions during that time.

Tyrese England led all scorers with 23 points. Josh Knueppel connected on all six of his shots from behind the arc en route to a career high 20 points. Fellow freshman PJ Young scored 12 points, pulled down six rebounds, and handed out six assists, and the inside duo of Jonah Rindfleisch and Amari George combined for 16 points and 17 rebounds.

The Vikings shot 61% while holding Pewaukee to 30%, and outrebounded the Pirates 45-26.
