Vikings Fall in Overtime
The Vikings basketball team dropped a tight 62-60 overtime game to Brookfield East at the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Shootout on Thursday night.
The Spartans, ranked #9 in Division 1, scored the game's first 12 points, but Wisco rallied back to take a 39-28 lead into the half. But the Vikings would manage just 13 second half points and went into overtime tied at 52.
Landon Key's steal and basket with 10 seconds left tied the game at 60. But a foul was called with 2.1 seconds left and the Lancers converted two free throws. Wisco was unable to score on its final possessions.
Key led the Vikings with 14 points. Fellow freshman Prentice Young added 12. More stats are available here.
