Vikings Open New Year With Victory

The Vikings survived an early three-point shooting barrage from visiting Greendale and earned a 67-60 victory over the Panthers on Tuesday night. The win, combined with New Berlin Eisenhower's loss at Pewaukee, puts Wisco into a tie atop the Woodland West standings.

Tyrese England scored 17 of his team-high 21 points in the first half to keep the Vikings in the game while the Panthers hit six of their first seven three-pointers. The teams entered the locker room tied at 37 apiece. Prentice Young scored ten of his 18 points after halftime to push the Vikings, who did not trail in the second half, to victory. Jonah Rindfleisch pulled down 14 rebounds and Jeremiah Hamption and Jordan Glenn handed out four assists apiece.
