The Wisco boys basketball team improved to 8-2 on the season with a 64-50 win at Pius XI on Friday night. The Vikings won despite shooting just 34% from the field. They helped compensate by making 17 of 22 free throws, holding the Popes to just 37% shooting themselves, and forcing 24 turnovers.
Prentice Young and Jeremiah Hampton led a balanced attack with 10 points apiece. Young and Jonah Rindfleisch grabbed seven rebounds each, and Young had five steals to pace the defense. More stats are available here.
