Vikings Survive, Advance
The Wisco basketball team overcame 21 turnovers and 27% shooting to grind out a playoff win over Pius XI, 42-39 at WLHS on Friday.
The Vikings trailed 28-20 early in the second half before a 16-1 run put them ahead to stay. Josh Knueppel scored seven points in the stretch, which saw Wisco get defensive stops on 15 consecutive possessions.
Knueppel, Tyrese England, and Jordan Glenn all scored nine points for the Vikings. Glenn added a team-high eight rebounds. More stats are available here.
