WLHS Day of Caring
On April 14, WLHS celebrated 414 Milwaukee Day (aka - Milwaukee's area code), with a special WLHS Day of Caring. The WLHS family was invited to share photos or posts demonstrating Christ-like acts of caring, such as food drop-offs for family, chalk or window messages for neighbors, or homemade projects while safely social-distancing. What a blessing to know that the love of Christ can still be seen during this novel coronavirus time.

(Photo 2) Andrea (Wiechmann) Indahl ('95) and her daughter Raegan create chalk drawings for Grandpa Mike Wiechmann (now living in Arizona). Mike has a compromised immune system, so the two surprised him with a beautiful Easter message.

(Photo 4) Michael Kuether ('20) has been keeping busy during the quarantine helping his church, Good Shepard's in West Allis, by recording church services, and then taking all of the video, sound tracks, etc. and putting the service together. His editing work includes piecing the service together, placing transitions, and creating any necessary overlays for text and hymns. In all, each service takes him 6-7 hours to edit.
(Photo 5) Laura (Fitzsimmons) Soldner ('01) and son Mason made signs to show teachers how much they love them for the car parade they did for their students.
(Photos 6 & 7) Jennifer Poston and her son are crocheting “mask mates” for essential workers. These straps help alleviate pressure on the backs of the ears. The elastic goes over the buttons instead of the ears. People from the community have rallied and helped donate more yarn, buttons, and money to buy supplies. So far they have made over 60 mask mates!
