Featured Wisco Champion for May
The featured Wisco Champion for May 2020, is Saynousone "Sy" Vanissaveth ('99).
Reflecting on where I am now, I look back to the foundations that brought me here. I know that I would not be where I am without my Savior. It’s a miracle that God brought me into His family as an immigrant from Laos without any knowledge of Him, and a part of that miracle is moving my parents to send me to Wisco. Not only did I receive an excellent education that challenged and pushed me to be better, I also received a strong foundation for my faith that continued to grow through hearing, studying, and living God’s Word, and that kept me close to Him and trust Him during the toughest times.

I’m reminded of Matthew 10:16, “Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves,” and I believe Wisco truly helped me prepare for this. I am honored and humbled to be able to support Wisco as an alumni, and I pray that God continues to bless its ministry for the glory of His kingdom.
