Thermo Fisher Scientific Commissioned Artwork

During the spring of the 2019-2020 school year, Thermo Fisher Scientific reached out to art teacher Mr. Michael Wiechmann to commission 20+ large scale paintings by our WLHS students. These paintings, which are comprised of things one would see under a microscope, now fill the halls and walls of their office and facility in downtown Milwaukee. More than 30 students were involved with this process. "The logistics were especially challenging due to Covid-19, but our students made it work and created some amazing artwork. I am crazy proud of them," says Mr. Wiechmann.
