Halloween at Honey Creek Hall

Last weekend was the popular holiday Halloween and the students took a huge role in planning, decorating, and leading activities for a Halloween party in the dorm.
All three floors were decorated. Pumpkins were painted. There was a marathon of Halloween-themed movies playing all weekend long. The students even created a “haunted hallway” in the girls’ and boys’ floors, and many students dressed up in costumes. Kei Ohtsuka (Japan, ‘22) and Chau Bang "Lily" Dang (Vietnam, ‘23), student leaders on the Residential Activities Committee, received a lot of well-deserved thanks and praise for their hard work to make this event happen for their dorm family. About leading this activity, Lily Dang said, "I love to be in charge of this Halloween party. It was the first time that we held a Halloween party at the dorm so I thought it might be really hard to encourage people to participate. Then the event turned out really well, and I love how this party could connect people together. Shoutout to all the RAC members for creative ideas and hard work!"
