Grilling with Science

Wisconsin Lutheran High School offers more than 30 different elective classes in the STEM and STEAM fields. These offerings range from entry level to advanced. In an advanced STEM class, students used the process of electrolysis to separate oxygen and hydrogen from water. The oxygen and hydrogen were then used in combustion to produce heat for grilling. The end result, delicious brats without any propane or charcoal needed! Caring for the beautiful planet God gave us and enjoying Wisconsin traditions just got one step easier.
