Shakespeare in the 21st Century

Students in Mr. Moldenhauer's English 9 classes have been reading Romeo and Juliet.  Comprehending a 400-year-old play written in Elizabethan English can be challenging. To help students understand and connect to the play, they rewrite various scenes from Romeo and Juliet in a modern way and practice acting them out. Ultimately, students write and produce videos of their scenes to share with the class. It is fun to see how Shakespeare can come alive in 2021.
