Oswald Flirts With No-Hitter in Win
The Wisco baseball team claimed a victory and Lucas Oswald nearly claimed a no-hitter on Thursday afternoon. But the final outcome left everyone happy, as the Vikings walked away with a 4-0 over Shorewood.
Oswald held the Greyhounds hitless through the first 6 innings before they finally broke through with two singles in the 7th. He settled for a complete game shutout with 3 strikeouts.
Meanwhile, the Wisco offense gave him all the support he would need in their first at-bat. Ryder Derouin singled in Tyler Danko in the top of the 1st to make it 1-0, Vikings. The team would add three more runs in the 5th, with Logan Abramowski bringing in two with a single and Danko following that up with an RBI single of his own, part of a stellar 4-4 day at the plate.
The Vikings host Cudahy on Friday, May 14, at the WLC Athletic Fields.
