2021-22 WLHS School Theme Announced

Our school theme for the 2021-22 school year is "More than Conquerors" from Romans 8:37.

Creator of the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, Leonardo da Vinci is considered one of the greatest artists of all time. To ask whether he could draw a stick man seems a silly question. Of course he could. The question, though, illustrates a logical claim sometimes known as “the argument from the greater to the lesser.”

Interestingly, this line of reasoning appears frequently in the Scriptures. Consider Romans 8:31, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” If the God who created the universe, human life in his own image, and proved his unconditional love for us by sending his Son to die for our sins, who or what could overpower him? No one or no thing.

Still, we doubt at times. Despite what we know about the Triune God, we allow cares and challenges to look bigger than they are. But, in our relationship with the heavenly Father through Jesus Christ we are “. . . more than conquerors” (Romans 8:37), our theme for the 2021-22 school year. Romans 8:28-38 assures us that Christ’s conquests are ours and nothing can separate us from his love.
