Student Races at Milwaukee Speedway
On Sunday, August 29, former Wisco student Sam Mayer raced in the ARCA Menards Series - Milwaukee Mile at Wisconsin State Fair Park. Wisco friends and family were honored to celebrate with Sam before the race. "We couldn't be happier for Sam and wanted him to know we are cheering for him now and for a successful future," says Executive Director of WLHS Foundation & Mission Advancement Matt Bilitz. Sam finished second at this race.
Sam had previously raced in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Race at Daytona, in Florida, on Saturday, which is the series he has moved up to. However, Sam wanted to show his appreciation for Wisconsin and Wisconsin Lutheran High School friends, so he made the quick turnaround to compete in this local race. What God-given talent Sam has been growing as he continues his climb through NASCAR!
