Fun Weekend at Camp

It is a favorite tradition for all of the residential students to go on a campout over the Labor Day holiday weekend. Through this great community-building experience, new and returning students are able to make the most of the long weekend to get to know one another and enjoy the great outdoors.
At Imago Dei Village Camp, the students go swimming and kayaking in the lake, play games such as nine-square, frisbee, and volleyball, and talk and roast marshmallows around the campfire. Overnight, the students and supervisory staff stay in comfortable, rustic cabins.  Program Director Mr. Eric Duwe also led the students in a variety of team-building activities with cheers, competitions, and even a talent show to help students make new friends and learn to work well together. President Dr. Ken Fisher was the special guest judge and speaker at the evening campfire, and Mr. Doug Carter (Dean of Residential Life) shared a Sunday morning message about how God fixes broken people.
