Bountiful Donations for Soles for Jesus

Just before Christmas break, WLHS students in the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy organized a Soles for Jesus (SFJ) shoe drive. Many children and adults in Africa have only badly worn shoes or no shoes at all. The Wisco family was asked to share their gently worn shoes to meet this need.  SFJ exists to share Christ’s love by providing for a physical need which is also accompanied by a Gospel message written in the recipients’ language. Leadership Academy students collected more than 500 pairs of shoes and $368 to defray the cost of shipping. They sorted the shoes and prepared them for sending to Africa. Thank you to all who donated shoes, as well as those who contributed monetarily.
