Viking Christian Leaders: Wisdom

Congratulations to Jacob Alejandro ('23) and Grace Marie Theesfeld ('22), who were selected as Viking Christian Leaders for the month of January under “The Wisco Way Word": Wisdom. We thank God for the way Jacob and Grace Marie have modeled servant leadership at school and in the community. Any student or staff member may nominate a student for the Viking Christian Leadership Award which is presented each month to one young man and one young woman.
Jacob is from Brookfield, Wisconsin, and he is a member at St. John’s in Wauwatosa, where he attended grade school.
 
Currently a junior at Wisco, Jacob has participated in Cross Country, Winter Running Club, Track, Student Council, WWW, VCLA, and math track.

Jacob volunteers at his church for various events and has gone on church mission trips to South Carolina and Tennessee.
 
In his spare time, Jacob enjoys programming and running.
 
After graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Jacob plans to attend college for engineering or computer science.
 
Jacob characterizes wisdom in Christian leadership as confidently treating others in a way that will serve their best interests and using good judgement to determine what those interests are.


Grace Marie is from West Allis, Wisconsin, and she is a member at St. John’s in Wauwatosa, where she attended grade school.
 
Currently a senior at Wisco, Grace Marie has participated in NHS, VCLA, and Critical Thinkers, and she has gone on a school mission trip.

Grace Marie has also been involved in Sunday School and teen groups at her church.

In her spare time, Grace Marie enjoys painting, ceramics, listening to music, playing with her dog, and hanging out with friends.
 
After graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Grace Marie plans to study psychology at the  University of Arizona.

Grace Marie characterizes wisdom in Christian leadership as using your Christian faith to guide and root your life.
