On Saturday, February 5, WLHS grad David Pede ('06) was inducted into the WISTCA (Wisconsin Track Coaches Association) Hall of Fame. This is the highest honor for WI high school track & field. David was a four-time First Team All-State distance runner and the 2006 Wisconsin high school track & field athlete of the year. When he won the state championship in the 1600, he became the first Wisco athlete to win a WIAA state title in any sport. In addition to his track & field success, David was also a three-time First Team All-State XC runner for WLHS. David became only the third Wisco athlete to be inducted into a Wisconsin high school sports association Hall of Fame. Click here to read David's full biography.
