Jaiah Hopf broke two school indoor records as the girls track & field team got off to a successful start to the 2022 season at the Performance Running Outfitters Invitational on Saturday. The Vikings placed 2nd out of 16 teams at the meet, which was held at UW-Parkside.
Hopf, the two-time defending state champion in the long jump and triple jump, easily won both of those events and established new school indoor records in each. She leaped 18-10 to win the long jump and 38-9.5 to win the triple jump. The senior also won the 200 (27.14) and joined with Annabelle Coudron, Myla Ellis, and Audreyanna Scott to win the 4x200 relay (1:52.20), giving her a hand in all four Wisco event championships on the day.
