Viking Christian Leaders: Courage

Congratulations to Lauren Beck ('22) and Xavier Foreman ('23), who were selected as Viking Christian Leaders for the month of April under “The Wisco Way Word": Courage. We thank God for the way Lauren and Xavier have modeled servant leadership at school and in the community. Any student or staff member may nominate a student for the Viking Christian Leadership Award which is presented each month to one young man and one young woman.
Lauren is from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and she attended grade school at St. John’s in Wauwatosa. She is a member at Grace Downtown.
 
Currently a senior at Wisco, Lauren has participated in freshman basketball, Student Council, and Viking Christian Leaders Academy, and she is serving as the treasurer in the National Honor Society.

Lauren has also volunteered at her church by serving Advent meals and helping with set up and take down of events.
 
In her spare time, Lauren enjoys reading, working with her friends, and hanging out with her dog, Buddy.
 
After graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Lauren plans to pursue a degree at Winona State University in Minnesota.
 
Lauren characterizes courage in Christian leadership as treating everyone with kindness in all situations, shamelessly being a witness to your faith.


Xavier is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and he is a member at Garden Homes Lutheran, where he attended grade school.
 
Currently a junior at Wisco, Xavier has participated in football, track, Viking Christian Leaders Academy, and forensics.

Xavier has also participated in Sunday School at his church.

In his spare time, Xavier enjoys chilling and watching movies.
 
After graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Xavier plans to pursue a degree in education to become a teacher.

Xavier characterizes courage in Christian leadership as having a voice, both for yourself and for others who don’t have a voice.
