Viking Christian Leaders: Love

Congratulations to Trevor Hoffman ('23) and Nora Stroh ('23), who were selected as Viking Christian Leaders for the month of August under “The Wisco Way Word": Love. We thank God for the way Trevor and Nora have modeled servant leadership at school and in the community. Any student or staff member may nominate a student for the Viking Christian Leadership Award which is presented each month to one young man and one young woman.
Trevor is from New Berlin, Wisconsin, and he is a member at Christ the Lord in Brookfield. He attended grade school at St. Paul’s in Franklin.

Currently a senior at Wisco, Trevor has participated in Band, Jazz Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble, Marching Band, Wisco Kids, the musical, and choir. He has also been a part of the fall drama, Student Council, National Honor Society, Viking Christian Leaders Academy, Hope Squad, Plautz Fund, Prog Club, and Wisco Witnesses in the World.

Trevor serves at his church by playing saxophone for services, singing in the choir, and volunteering to lead VBS. He has also volunteered at Camp Phillip the past three summers.

In his spare time, Trevor enjoys reading, acting, singing, dancing, music, hanging out with friends and family, and Mingo and the Harsh Reality.

After graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Trevor is considering attending WLC for history and hopefully becoming a lawyer.

Trevor characterizes love in Christian leadership as showing kindness to others, even if we don’t know them, making sure everyone feels involved and is having a good time.

Nora is from Big Bend, Wisconsin. She is a member at Christ Lutheran in Big Bend, where she also attended grade school.

Currently a senior at Wisco, Nora has participated in Volleyball, Track, Cross Country, Viking Steel, Wisco Kids, and the musical. She has also been a part of Student Council, Wisco Witnesses in the World, Viking Christian Leaders Academy, National Honor Society, Pilot, Art Club, Photography Club, Culture Club, and Hope Squad. She has served as a mentor to an international student and went on a mission trip to Thailand this past summer.

Nora has volunteered at her church by singing, teaching Sunday School, leading VBS, and watching children through the childcare program.

In her spare time, Nora enjoys baking, playing piano, participating in any physical activity or sport, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

After graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Nora plans to go to school for physical therapy.

Nora characterizes love in Christian leadership as reflecting Jesus’ love for us to all people in every situation.
