Vibrant Reminders of our Heritages
To celebrate our study of cultures and our diverse WLHS student body, we display the colorful flags of six different Latin American countries and Spain in our World Languages hallway at the southwest corner of our building. Spanish and German classes are taught here. The Deutsche flag also hangs, as well as the Ukraine flag (pictured second) — German and American Literature Teacher Ms. Elertson’s home country.
During Hispanic Heritage month (September 15-October), we also decorate our classroom doors with Spanish themes. Check out lots of color and creativity from vibrant young minds.
