8th Grade – School Choice (MPCP and WPCP) Open Enrollment
2023 Open Enrollment started on Wednesday, February 1, and is for all families wishing to utilize the Milwaukee (MPCP) or Wisconsin (WPCP) Parental Choice Program for the 2023-24 school year.
MPCP/WPCP Open Enrollment:
- Milwaukee Parental Choice Program – open enrollment is February 1-20
- If you wish to or have applied at WLHS under the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP), you must apply online using the DPI website during the enrollment period to complete an application for the program. THIS APPLIES TO ALL FAMILIES WHO INTEND TO TRY TO USE CHOICE, EVEN IF YOU ARE ALREADY IN CHOICE AT YOUR CHILD’S ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL.
- You must have an email address (parent email address) to complete the online application, and if you do not have an email address, you will need to create one to apply (no exceptions as there are no paper applications).
- Then, you (PARENT/GUARDIAN) need to EMAIL YOUR VERIFYING DOCUMENTS, instructed by your individual online application, to WLHS at choice@wlhs.org. All required documents need to be submitted prior to the closing of the open enrollment period on Monday, February 20, 2023, in order for your application to be processed. No exceptions can be made, so please plan accordingly.
- MPCP lottery results will be announced by Friday, March 3, 2023.
- Wisconsin Parental Choice Program – open enrollment is February 1-April 20
- If you wish to or have applied at WLHS under the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP), you must apply online using the DPI website during the enrollment period to complete an application for the program. THIS APPLIES TO ALL FAMILIES WHO INTEND TO TRY TO USE CHOICE, EVEN IF YOU ARE ALREADY IN CHOICE AT YOUR CHILD’S ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL.
