Film Club Invites Wisco Alum as Guest Speaker
Film Club, a newly created club for the 2022-23 school year, invited alum Helena Sloan ('18), an associate producer for Milwaukee-based Swift Motion Pictures, to speak at one of their meetings. “This type of work requires you to be confident in yourself and to always be willing to learn," Helena said. Helena spoke to the film club students about working in the movie industry, what her day-to-day job entails when they are in the middle of filming, as well as the challenges and joys of being a young filmmaker. "What is most important to me is letting people know that it is possible to be creative and successful in this field in the city of Milwaukee.”
Film club is open to all students and is led by faculty advisor Mrs. Amy Goede ('94).
