Funtivity @ Country Springs
Lauren Butler (freshman from Manassas, Virginia) shares what happened on a rainy MLK Day . . .
"On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, some students from the Funky Family were going to go skiing for a fun outing on our day off. But, unfortunately, there was freezing rain all day. So instead of skiing, we went to Country Springs Waterpark.
We left for the park at about 9:30 AM and arrived shortly after. We all hung out in the hot tub for a while and had a lot of fun on the waterslides. We played in the arcade room and Mr. Ricke bought us pizza for lunch. Afterwards we swam a little longer and then left at 1:00 PM. On our way home Mr. Ricke also took us to Gillie’s for icecream.
It was a great way to spend our day off even if it didn’t go as planned."
