Vuntivity @ Food Pantry

Micah Ricke
Isabella Iglesias (a freshman from Alexandria, Virginia) describes a recent vuntivity (volunteer activity) that all the girls did last week. . .
"On Saturday March 11, all of the Funky Family Ladies went on a vuntivity (volunteer activity) to Christ Lutheran Church to help with a food pantry.

The ladies who were in charge of everything were very nice and had been doing this for many years. There were 6 stations we had to split up and help in, I first went to the spanish devotion center with one other person. The devotion was over so we started organizing  all the donated clothes. After everything looked a bit more organized we started greeting people at the door. We helped at the food pantry for about two hours. Then Mr. Ricke took anyone who wasn’t scared of heights into the steeple of the church. It was super high and scary!

Then we all got back into the vans we went to go eat chinese food for lunch. The same place Mr. Ricke’s family goes every Christmas Eve."
