Nazil Arkin (senior from Urumqi, China who lives in Antioch House) describes an epic adventure we had in Chicago on a sunny Saturday in May . . .

"On Saturday, Our Funky Family students all went to an one day trip to Chicago.

First of all, we went to the very famous Shedd Aquarium to look around at the beautiful fish, otters, dolphins and whales. After we all went and saw a amazing show with Mr.Ricke.

Then we took the bus, and went to Chinatown for some delicious Chinese food. We were all so excited to have some hometown food. Me and my other friend found a really good restaurant called Min Xuan. There were so much delicious chinese food and it was not expensive at all. After lunch, we also went and get a bubble milk tea as a desert.

After lunch, we were dropped off on the Magnificent Mile and Navy Pier in Chicago downtown. We took some very good pictures, and get to have some time for shopping. Everyone loved it!

After a few hours of walking around, we were all tired and hungry. Then Mr. Ricke took us to a very famous pizza place in Chicago. We ordered some pizza and drinks, it was very delicious, I liked it a lot!

It was a long day, everyone was tired but it was also great. We got to see some amazing tall buildings, we did some shoppings, and we got to eat the delicious Chinese food. Plus, the weather was so good, everyone enjoyed the day!"
