Reformation 500
Everyone is invited to the festival worship service by the Southeastern Wisconsin District on Sunday, November 5, at 3:30 p.m., at the Miller High Life Theater (a.k.a Milwaukee Theater) to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Church's Reformation. We gather foremost to thank God for preserving the gospel of Jesus our Savior and to recognize the role of Martin Luther and the momentous events of 500 years ago. This will be an opportunity for members of many different WELS congregations and visitors to join in a special worship service centered on the saving truths of Scripture.
Pastor James Huebner will preach, and several pastors from the district will conduct the liturgy.
An adult and a children's choir directed by Mary Prange and Sarah Zietlow Henrich respectively will perform. Both will rehearse on Saturday, November 4.
The Reformation 500 thank offering will support mission efforts in the Southeastern Wisconsin District of WELS.
