PSAT/NMSQT

Every year millions of dollars are given out in scholarships by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. This is done through the PSAT/NMSQT test that is given to juniors during periods 1-4, on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Wisconsin Lutheran High School.

If your son/daughter has definite 4-year college plans, it is recommended that he or she takes this test. There are multiple advantages to doing so. It is possible for your student to become a semi-finalist or finalist in the National Merit Scholarship competition, and receive scholarship dollars by taking the PSAT.
Even if they may not become a finalist or one of the semi-finalists, students who take the PSAT have their names and scores submitted to colleges and the Student Search Service. Colleges offer material and financial assistance to good students. Your child may become a recipient of those advantages, but only if he or she takes part in this National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT).

We invite all junior students to participate. It is a very valuable step in the pursuit of accomplishing educational goals. The PSAT/NMSQT will also help prepare your student for what to expect with the ACT and SAT. The fee is $16.00. Students can register with Ms. Baylor in the Guidance Office now through October 6, 2017. If you are paying by check, please make the check payable to Wisconsin Lutheran High School.
