School Store Gets a Makeover
Over the summer, the first phase of the school store remodeling took place. With the help of students, the space was cleaned out, received a new coat of paint on the walls and ceiling as well as brand new lighting and carpeting. Also, new wall hanging slats and storage cases were installed to showcase merchandise for sale. A new refrigerator was purchased for unique beverages such as iced tea, Propel water, and other drinks not found in the school vending machines. A new cash register system was installed so that the store can now take credit and debit card payments.
Renovations to the school store were made possible through the Plautz Fund, a business/finance leadership club at the high school. The WLHS bookstore is located on the ground level, across from the cafeteria, and open before school from 7:20-7:45 a.m. and during all school lunch periods.
