Viking Steelpans Enhance Worship

The WLHS Viking Steelpan group, led by Director of Bands, Quinten Petersen, took their pans on the road for the first time to enhance worship at St. John Lutheran Church, Lannon, on Sunday, January 28, during both services. The group played many selections, including "Amazing Grace," arranged by Joshua Quillen, an excerpt of which can been seen at this link. The high school has three steelpan bands, with a total of 30 students participating. The next worship service the group will attend is at St. Marcus Lutheran Church, on Sunday, February 11, at 10:30 a.m. In addition, there will be a concert following the worship service in the atrium at St. Marcus.
