Viking Christian Leaders: Courage
Congratulations to Micah Buschkopf ('25) and Hannah Strong ('26), who were selected as Viking Christian Leaders for the month of April under “The Wisco Way Word": Courage. We thank God for the way Micah and Hannah have modeled servant leadership at school and in the community. Any student or staff member may nominate a student for the Viking Christian Leaders Award which is presented each month to one young man and one young woman.
Micah is from West Allis, Wisconsin. He attends St. John’s in Milwaukee, where he also went to grade school.
Currently a sophomore at Wisco, Micah has participated in football, basketball, baseball, Inspiration, Wisco Kids, A Cappella, Viking Steel, and the musical. He has also been involved in Student Council, WWW, Drama Club, and Hope Squad, and he has gone on a mission trip and attended the WELS Leadership Conference.
Micah has volunteered at his church by singing for services and helping with slideshows, and he has been involved in the youth group.
In his spare time, Micah enjoys spending time with friends, playing sports, and listening to music.
After graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Micah is considering attending MLC and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary to become a pastor.
Micah characterizes courage in Christian leadership as doing the right thing, no matter who is or isn’t watching.
Hannah is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and she is a member at Grace Downtown. She attended St. John’s Tosa for grade school.
Currently a freshman at Wisco, Hannah has participated in Viking Steel, Freshman Choir, Art Club, WWW, Hope Squad, and Compass.
Hannah has volunteered at her church by singing in choir, teaching Sunday School, and helping run VBS.
In her spare time, Hannah enjoys hanging out with friends, participating in choir, and traveling with her family.
After graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Hannah is considering attending MLC to become an elementary and early childhood teacher.
Hannah characterizes courage in Christian leadership as having the strength to look out for others and show God’s love no matter what situation you may be faced with.
